1. 배경

2024년, 보건복지부 산하 기관은 다수의 의료기술을 대상으로 최신 환자 경험을 심층적으로 조사하고, 이를 의료서비스 소비자의 관점에서 분석했습니다. 해당 자료는 각 기술의 보험 지원 적합성을 판단하기 위한 의료기술 재평가의 근거로 활용하는 것을 목적으로 하였습니다.

Situation

In 2024, an institution under the Ministry of Health and Welfare conducted an in-depth investigation into recent patient experiences with a range of medical technologies and analyzed them from the perspective of healthcare service consumers. The purpose of this study was to provide evidence for the re-evaluation of medical technologies in order to determine their eligibility for insurance coverage.

2. 필요업무

환자 경험과 의견에 대한 질적 조사를 수행하고, 이를 위한 환자 모집을 기획하며, 조사 결과를 분석함으로써 각 기술의 임상적·사회적 가치를 평가할 수 있는 근거 자료를 제공하는 것을 목표로 하였습니다.

Task

The task was to provide evidence for assessing the clinical and social value of each technology by conducting qualitative research on patient experiences and opinions, planning patient recruitment for the study, and analyzing the results.

3. 인트라클리닉컨설팅 수행 내용

각 의료기술을 최근에 경험한 환자들을 집단별로 모집하여 동일 시간대에 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(FGI)를 설계·진행하였습니다. FGI를 통해 환자들의 의료기술 이용 경험, 만족도, 불편 사항, 기대 효과 등을 심층적으로 탐구했습니다. 인터뷰 자료는 주제별로 코딩 및 분석하여, 의료서비스 품질과 보험 적용 타당성에 관한 인사이트를 도출했습니다.

Action

We actively recruited patients who had recently experienced each medical technology and organized them into focus groups. We designed and conducted focus group interviews (FGIs) to deeply investigate their experiences, satisfaction, inconveniences, and expected benefits. We then coded and analyzed the interview content by theme, producing actionable insights into healthcare service quality and the appropriateness of insurance coverage.

4. 결과

​분석 결과를 반영한 최종 보고서는 의료기술별 소비자 인식과 보험 지원의 사회적 타당성을 제시하는 형태로 작성되었으며, 의료기술 재평가 심의 자료의 일부로 제출되었습니다.

Result

The final report consolidated our analysis and presented consumer perceptions and the social validity of insurance coverage for each medical technology. We submitted this report as part of the evidence package for the medical technology re-evaluation review.
